Where can I print on the cheap? What are the print media should I use?

I print a design tickets to an art show at my school. And the main thing is that we need a ** ** LOT of them. As more 300. Maybe 400. Print size is approximately 4 "x3.5", delivered at 300 dpi. The entries are in color. [-1 -] Where can I print all a bunch of them for relatively cheap, as an art school club could afford? (Kinko's is not an answer Hint hint.) [-2 -] When I printed, what kind of "paper" should I use? I wanted to use the kind, stiff glossy brochures that you get with high-end meeting. But it may be too costly. If it helps, I am local Central Valley Salida / Modesto area.
